Which brands of catheter do you carry?

 

We offer premium brand catheter products from Coloplast, Hollister, Bard, Cure, and Rochester, featuring the latest technology and innovations on the market. We offer a broad variety of straight, coudé and catheter kits, with and without hydrophilic coating.

 

Can I reuse my catheters?

 

It’s unsafe to wash and reuse catheters. Medicare, the FDA, and the VA state that catheters are single-use only. Always use a new sterile catheter each time to stay safe and follow medical guidelines.

 

How often should I catheterize?

 

Your healthcare professional will help you to determine your personal schedule. This will depend upon your fluid intake and diagnosis leading to the need for intermittent catheterization. Some people may need to catheterize as few as 1-2 times daily, some as many as 5-6.

 

What should I do if I forget to catheterize?

 

You should catheterize as soon as you remember, then continue with your regular schedule. If you miss catheterization once or twice, don’t worry. However, if it happens often, your risk of developing a urinary tract infection could increase. Consider setting an alarm, or downloading an app on your phone, to remind yourself in order to stay on schedule.

 

Ordering and delivery

Is there a delivery fee for my supplies?

 

No. We deliver your catheter supplies directly to your door, free of charge.

 

How do you help me keep my supplies on track?

 

We will contact you when it’s time for your reorder so you don’t have to worry about running out. In addition, our Comfort Medical portal is designed to make it easy to reorder your supplies, track pending orders and get notified when it’s time to reorder. You can also contact us by email or phone to reorder your supplies.

Billing and insurance

Do you work with my insurance?

 

We service Medicare, Medicaid and most commercial insurances. If you’re out of network, we will help you find a supplier that can service your insurance.

 

Will my insurance cover the cost of my catheter supplies?

 

Depending on your insurance, the cost of your supplies may be covered completely. Medicare and most private insurers generally pay 80% of the cost of supplies for qualified beneficiaries after any annual deductibles have been met.

 
If you have supplemental insurance, you may be covered for the remaining portion. This means that your supplies are no cost to you. However, you will be responsible for any portion (co-pay or deductible) that is not covered by your insurance.

 

Do you assist with insurance verification?

 

Yes. Our specialists will make the process easy for you by helping you complete your insurance paperwork.
